March 2026 Update: Video Support, Faster Uploads, and a Dashboard Overhaul

By Get Pronto

It's been a busy few weeks. We've shipped a bunch of updates to Get Pronto that touch pretty much every part of the platform, from how files get uploaded to how you manage and track them in the dashboard. Some of these have been on the roadmap for a while, others came from direct user feedback.

Here's what's new.

Video support is here

This is the big one. Get Pronto started as an image hosting and transformation service, but we've heard from a lot of you that you're managing video assets alongside your images and want a single place for all of it.

So now you can upload and host video files directly through Get Pronto. When you upload a video, we automatically extract metadata like dimensions and duration, and generate a thumbnail so your asset library doesn't just show a bunch of generic file icons. You can also play videos right from the asset detail view in the dashboard without needing to download them first.

This is just the beginning for video. We're working on video transformations (resizing, format conversion, thumbnail extraction at specific timestamps) next. But for now, if you need a place to host and serve video files through a CDN with the same simple API you're already using for images, it's ready to go.

Uploads are faster (and more reliable)

We've made significant performance improvements to our upload pipeline. Files now get to storage faster than ever, with support for much larger files than before. If you've been working with bigger assets and hitting limits, those are gone.

We've also added per-file progress tracking to the dashboard uploader. Instead of a single spinner that says "Uploading...", you now get individual progress bars for each file with a percentage and status indicator. Much nicer when you're uploading a batch of assets.

Finally, you can now upload files from the sidebar on any page in the dashboard, not just the assets page. There's also a friendly empty state when you first sign up that prompts you to upload your first file.

Dashboard overhaul

The dashboard got a lot of attention this cycle. The asset library in particular has been rebuilt to be a lot more useful as your collection grows.

Search, sort, and filter. You can now search assets by name, sort by name/size/date, and filter by file type (images, videos, etc.). All of this happens server-side, so it stays fast even with hundreds of assets.

Bulk operations. You can select multiple assets and delete them in one go, with a confirmation dialog so you don't accidentally nuke anything. We've also added confirmation dialogs to single-file deletion.

Most accessed assets. The dashboard home page now shows your top 5 most-requested files, ranked by total hits with bandwidth served. Handy for seeing which assets are doing the heavy lifting.

Image and video metadata. Asset listings and detail views now show dimensions, file size, and duration (for videos). Small thing, but it makes the library a lot more scannable.

Folder organization. You can now organize your assets into folders directly from the dashboard. Create, rename, and nest folders however you like. If you've got more than a handful of assets, this makes things a lot easier to manage.

General polish. Breadcrumb navigation on all pages, tooltips on action buttons, and optimistic UI updates so uploads and deletes feel instant instead of waiting for a page reload.

What's next

We're not slowing down. A few things on the near-term roadmap:

If you have feedback or feature requests, we'd love to hear from you. You can reach us through the contact form in the dashboard or on the website.
